The doctors all practice hematology oncology and will boost the institute's treatment of blood cancers. Dr. Pavani Ellipeddi earned her bachelor of medicine, bachelor of surgery and internal medicine internship at Kathmandu Medical College.
She completed a residency at the Baptist Health System in Birmingham, Alabama, and fellowships in hospice and palliative medicine and hematology and oncology at the University of Kansas in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Christopher McCanless earned a medical degree from LSU Health Shreveport School of Medicine.
He completed a residency and hematology/medical oncology fellowship at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. Dr. Gerald Miletello earned a medical degree from LSU Health New Orleans School of Medicine.
He completed an internship at Earl K. Long Medical Center and residencies at LSU Medical College. — Dr.
Timothy Gilbert has joined the staff of Pennington Biomedical Research Center as a clinical research physician and director of the Diabetes and Metabolism Care Clinic. Gilbert is a clinical endocrinologist with more than 15 years of experience in the management of patients with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. He is the founder and former medical director the Diabetes Education Center and the Endocrinology Center of Southwest Louisiana.
Before going to medical school, he was a critical care nurse for 4 years. He earned a bachelor's in nursing and biological sciences from McNeese State University and a medical degree from LSU Health New Orleans School of Medicine. Gilbert completed a residency at LSU Health Science Center and a fellowship at Ochsner Health Systems.

Francis has been with the business school since 2020 as director of online learning. Before that, she spent nearly a decade at Loyola University in New Orleans as a teacher and administrator.
