GEORGE TOWN: Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow today conveyed the heartfelt appreciation and deepest gratitude of the entire Penang state leadership and administration to the outgoing Yang di-Pertua Negeri, Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak, for his dedicated service as the eighth Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Penang since May 1, 2021.Former Dewan Rakyat Speaker, Tun Ramli Ngah Talib, has been appointed as the ninth Yang di-Pertua Negeri, effective tomorrow.Chow described Ahmad Fuzi's contributions, services, and sacrifices to the state and its administration as invaluable, likening them to precious gems that shine across Penang.
"These contributions will forever be remembered in the annals of Penang's history," he said."I will always uphold the mandate entrusted to me by Tun Ahmad Fuzi, to safeguard political stability, strengthen economic growth, and enhance the welfare of the people through our shared efforts."Tun Ahmad Fuzi's humility, dedication, and wisdom will continue to inspire the leadership and administration of the Penang state government in our mission to advance the state to greater heights," he added.
Chow also expressed his sincere appreciation to Toh Puan Khadijah Mohd Nor, on behalf of the state government, for her unwavering support and dedication to the people of Penang, particularly in the fields of welfare and women's development."Toh Puan's leadership is like a flower in full bloom, spreading its fragrance throughout the Penang family in an atmosphere filled with harmony and compassion."This message is not mere rhetoric, many hands are raised in prayer for the continued well-being of Tun and Toh Puan, whom we hold in the highest regard.
