Pembrokeshire is quickly growing in popularity among people looking for a more peaceful staycation. As the trend of visiting quieter locations gains traction, the county is becoming a popular alternative to the busy areas of Cornwall. Travellers are showing a preference for peaceful, less crowded escapes, and Pembrokeshire is stepping up to meet this demand with its beautiful beaches and adventure activities.

The closure of Oakwood Theme Park last week underlines the shift towards more experience-led coastal adventures. These are places that are less well-known and less crowded than traditional tourist spots.

Mintel data also shows 86 per cent of UK staycationers this year are looking for peaceful, crowd-free destinations. Meanwhile, Cornwall, usually the UK's top holiday destination, has seen a drop in visitor numbers to a 10-year low due to costs and overcrowding. Pembrokeshire and Bluestone National Park Resort offer a range of attractions for visitors.

This includes the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, with its scenic walking trails and stunning beaches. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy surfing, coasteering, kayaking, and hiking along Wales' Coastal Path. There are also opportunities to see wildlife, such as puffins on Skomer Island and dolphins and seals along the coast.

For families, Bluestone National Park Resort offers a five-star holiday experience in the heart of the national park..
