Peas are used in a variety of dishes and are very popular among school night dinners and Sunday roasts. Although they're often great as they are, chefs say that peas are transformed by adding four simple ingredients .

They help to give them an enticing glaze and make them tastier than ever. The four ingredients are butter, garlic, salt and pepper. Chefs say the simple method works well with frozen peas and takes just over five minutes.



The recipe begins with melting the butter and garlic over a medium heat for around 30 seconds. They should turn a very light golden colour before you tip in the frozen peas. Then add salt and pepper alongside one tablespoon of water.

This helps to create steam and cooks the peas faster before the water evaporates. You should then leave the peas to cook for five minutes while occasionally stirring. They are then ready to serve into a bowl or straight onto dinner plates to enjoy.
