Prominent figures and groups across Nigeria have paid glowing tributes to former Vice President and 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, as he marked his 78th birthday on Monday. In a statement, PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, lauded Atiku as a compassionate and visionary leader. He highlighted Atiku’s contributions as Chairman of the National Economic Council under the Obasanjo administration from 1999 to 2007, “a period that saw Nigeria experience significant economic growth”.
