The PCGH said the hospital remains steadfast in advocating for equality and inclusivity. "Pasay City General Hospital firmly denounces any form of ridicule, shame, or hate aimed towards our staff," it said.

It added that it "holds our staff, both local and foreign, in such high regard and the hospital maintains its firm stance against discrimination of any race, ethnicity, gender, religion, or faith." The hospital also said it remains committed in upholding the values of respect, dignity, and integrity as it continues to provide the best healthcare to all patients. The PCGH added the hospital has developed into a full-fledged training hospital – a robust training ground for allied health trainees and professionals that greatly contribute to the wide-scale positive transformation of the institution.

The Commission on Election (Comelec) issued a cause order against Manguerra last Tuesday, April 15, to explain within three days her derogatory remark against foreign students. Manguerra, in one of her campaign sorties, said: “Tanggalin na natin ang mga bumbay para wala ng amoy sibuyas na maiwan sa Pasay Gen. (Let’s remove the bumbay so there won’t be no onion smell left at Pasay Gen).
