The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has refuted all claims of agreeing to the Board Of Control For Cricket In India's (BCCI) wish to host the ICC Champions Trophy in a hybrid model and Pakistan are planning to host the tournament across three venues. Several media reports sparked speculation that India have made it clear that they won't be travelling across the border and want their matches to be played in UAE's Dubai or Sharjah. As per a report by India Today, a PCB source has rubbished all media claims and revealed that the hybrid model is not considered as an option as Pakistan look to conduct the tournament in Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi.

"The hybrid model is not under consideration. It is documented that its position has not changed. People file stories claiming sources X Y Z.

People file anything just to get some views. As of now, we haven't decided anything as far as the Champions Trophy. Our stand is as it is," a PCB source told India Today.

India can only travel to Pakistan if the BCCI get the permission from the Indian government but as per several media reports, it is unlikely to happen. The tournament is scheduled to start from 19th February, 2025. Pakistan were also the host of the Asia Cup 2023, but India played their matches in a hybrid model in Sri Lanka.

The final was also played in Sri Lanka as India qualified for the summit clash. The International Cricket Council (ICC) is believed to announce the schedule of the tournament on November 11. As per the tentative schedule proposed by the PCB, the India-Pakistan high-voltage clash is expected to take place on 1st March, 2025 in Lahore.

While, the summit clash is scheduled for 9th March in Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium. The Men in Green also happen to be the defending champions of the tournament. Get Latest News Live on Times Now along with Breaking News and Top Headlines from Cricket, Sports and around the world.
