The Pakistan cricket Board (PCB) chairman Moshin Naqvi talked about the concerns about the upcoming home Test series against England. He declined reports which claimed that the series could get relocated, and gave out the confirmation that the matches will indeed be held in Pakistan. Earlier, some reports suggested that there might be a possibility of moving the 3-match Test series to Sri Lanka or the UAE.

This was associate to the ongoing renovation work at the stadiums in preparation for the ICC Champions Trophy next year. PCB Chief, however, has dismissed all rumours relate the relocation of the series and has confirmed that it will be in Multan and Rawalpindi. “No Tests will be played outside [the country].

Multan and Rawalpindi venues are final,” Naqvi told reporters. PCB recently changed the second Test of Pakistan vs Bangladesh series to Rawalpindi. The ongoing schedule was already revised to exclude spectators considering the renovation work at Karachi stadium.

Working on this, PCB called it necessary to relocate the matches to Rawalpindi in order to keep a safe playing environment. England’s former all-format head coach, Brendon McCullum, spoke on this matter during a press conference. “We don’t know , but we can’t pick a team until we know where we’re going to play,” McCullum said.

“It would be nice if, over the next couple of days, we found out. Then we’ll sit down and make sure we’ve got the right team for the right conditions and the right opposition,” he added..
