PBI-Gordon elevates two employees to leadership team

The local manufacturer has continued to invest in key leadership positions, which is playing a notable role in its growth.

PBI-Gordon Cos. has promoted two employees to its executive leadership team. The Shawnee-based company develops, manufactures and markets lawn care and animal health products and has 517 employee-owners.

PBI-Gordon promoted Eric Bur to vice president and CFO for PBI-Gordon and its three subsidiaries. Bur joined PBI-Gordon in 2019 as senior director of finance and previously was CFO at several other companies, including Xact Data Discovery, Xceligent and Saepio Technologies. Gib Bourk, who also joined PBI-Gordon in 2019, was promoted from senior director of the legal department to vice president and general counsel for PBI-Gordon and its subsidiaries.



“PBI-Gordon has experienced tremendous success and growth over the last several years, thanks in large part to our investments in key leadership positions,” CEO Steve Clifford said in a release. “(Bourk and Bur) are highly experienced and well-respected, and we are fortunate to have them as part of our team of employee-owners. We value their leadership and the world-class expertise they bring to work every day.

” In 2023, PBI-Gordon named its first chief people officer , Kelly Bosak, who joined from Lettermen’s Energy. It also named a new COO last year , tapping longtime Bayer Crop Science executive Jackie Applegate to fill the role. Founded in 1947, PBI-Gordon is 100% employee owned.
