One of the faces of MLB , Paul Skenes showed a new side of himself this week. He and girlfriend Livvy Dunne participated in a photo shoot with GQ magazine – and Skenes shared his reaction to seeing the finished product. The photos debuted Wednesday in GQ , featuring the couple, as well as dog Roux.
Skenes took the mound for his Pittsburgh Pirates that day, as well, throwing seven innings of one-run ball to get his first win of the young season. Afterward, Skenes was asked about the photo shoot. He said he had never even heard of the magazine until it reached out, but enjoyed the experience.

As for the timing of the GQ photo shoot, Skenes said it was on a rare snowy day in Baton Rouge. He admitted it’s not normally an area he’d venture into, but he still had fun.
“It was very fun,” Skenes said. “It was on the one day in, like, a million years that it snowed in Baton Rouge. So it kind of worked out perfectly.
We got some sweet pictures. “But that is not my sphere. We’ll see if I do more of those.
