Carlos Alcaraz has endeared himself to Everton supporters since his move to Goodison Park.The Argentine midfielder was confirmed as a Blues player on deadline day (3 February) after Everton agreed on a loan-to-buy deal with Brazilian outfit Flamengo.The 22-year-old has proved himself as a valuable addition to David Moyes‘ squad already, notching the winner in the 2-1 victory at Crystal Palace (15 February).

The renowned Times journalist said: “Alcaraz quickly fell down the pecking order [at Flamengo] and his availability in the window piqued the interest of Everton, who had previously followed him, given the low-risk nature of the deal. “It is unusual for South American players to return to England for a second spell, but he is undeterred.”Everton manager David Moyes will have been impressed by Alcaraz’s performances so far.
