Anticipation is growing for when Florida Gators head coach Billy Napier will be let go after a home loss to the Texas A&M Aggies. Napier is in his third season as the Gators' head coach and has not yet had a winning season. Florida is currently 1-2 this season, with both losses being blowouts in the two biggest games played so far.

If Napier is let go, some have wondered who the next coach will be. The name that keeps coming up is Lane Kiffin, the head coach of the Ole Miss Rebels. On Monday's "The Paul Finebaum Show," a caller told the SEC Network analyst that he doesn't understand why Kiffin would even consider leaving Ole Miss for Florida.

Finebaum responded by saying that Florida could be a great job, but it all depends on the person in charge. "Florida can be a great job if you have someone in charge who is organized and who knows how to make the right decisions," Finebaum said. "That has been sorely missing for a number of years.

" Dale Zanine-Imagn Images Finebaum mentioned that Florida will be a major topic of discussion in the coming weeks due to their recent struggles and the possibility of their coach being on the hot seat. Finebaum emphasized that words are no longer important for Napier and that now it's all about delivering results. The Gators will face a tough challenge in their upcoming games as they go up against five currently ranked teams to end the season.

Four of those five teams are in the top six of the rankings. To become bowl-eligible, the Gators will need to win at least one of those games. If the Gators fail to improve and have another losing season, they may search for a new coach, with Kiffin potentially at the top of their list.
