Renowned tennis coach Patrick Mouratoglou has weighed in on the debate, comparing the Big 3 era with the current era of Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz . The Big 3— Roger Federer , Rafael Nadal , and Novak Djokovic —dominated men’s tennis, amassing a combined 66 Grand Slam titles. In 2024, however, the narrative seems to have shifted, with Sinner and Alcaraz making headlines.
The pair have claimed all four Grand Slam titles this season and are likely to finish the season in the top two spots. I think they have completely different tennis, to put them in the same group (as Federer, Nadal and Djokovic) is difficult. Yes they are the two best by far at the moment and Carlos can do anything.
