Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are off to a 2-0 start this season, and they're looking like one of the league's best teams heading into Week 3. The two-time defending champions have picked up huge wins over the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals, two of their top rivals in the AFC. The Chiefs will look to keep their record perfect with another victory in primetime over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
Before the big game this weekend, Mahomes and his wife Brittany took some time to check out another team in a different sport. The couple was seen at the NWSL game between the Kansas City Current and the Washington Spirit on Friday night. Both Brittany and Patrick are each co-owners of the Current, and they were surely happy to see them come away with a 3-0 win over Washington.
The couple also celebrated Patrick's 29th birthday this week, with Brittany posting a special message for him on social media. "Happy Birthday to one of the greatest humans ever, my husband, best friend and the best daddy ever! We are so grateful you are ours! We Love Youuuuuu,"z she said, sharing several photos of the family. The ties to soccer are personal for Brittany Mahomes, who played in college for Division III University of Texas at Tyler, and then played professionally in Iceland.

She earned her certification prior to the COVID pandemic, allowing her to help her then-boyfriend train while isolated that year. The Current are having an excellent season so far, and they're currently third in the NWSL standings, behind Washington and Orlando.
The team is looking to make its second postseason appearance after losing in the NWSL Championship back in 2022, where they fell to the Portland Thorns. After the Current won their game on Friday, we'll see if Patrick Mahomes can continue the good luck for the family in Atlanta when his Chiefs face the Falcons on Sunday night.
