Borte gained recognition for directing the dark comedy The Joneses, which stars David Duchovny and Demi Moore.Set in 1979, the film follows 14-year-old Shay Baker, a boy from a working-class family in Wanstead. While juggling multiple responsibilities, he cares for his younger sister, Alice, and helps at his father Nick’s piano shop.
Baker’s family life is fractured, as his mother abandoned them for a hedonistic lifestyle. His world takes a drastic turn when his estranged mother re-enters his life and introduces him to the music of The Clash.Daniel Huttlestone leads the cast as Baker, with supporting performances from Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Dougray Scott, Natascha McElhone, Tom Hughes, Kerry Howard, Nell Williams, Samuel Robertson, and Kamryn Boyd.
On April 9, Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out Season 21 arrives on Paramount Plus. The season originally premiered on VH1 on July 29, 2024. This sketch comedy and battle rap improv game show features host Nick Cannon leading a team of improv comedians against an A-list celebrity and their team in a series of comedic challenges.
