KUANTAN: The Pahang government today handed over financial assistance to a victim of the gas pipeline explosion in Putra Heights, Subang Jaya, to help ease her burden.

KUANTAN: The Pahang government today handed over financial assistance to a victim of the gas pipeline explosion in Putra Heights, Subang Jaya, to help ease her burden.Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said the donation was handed over to Zurina Mohd Isa, 49, a Pahang-born, by Perantau Anak Pahang secretariat officer Syed Anas Syed Ali. The handover took place during a visit to the Temporary Relief Centre (PPS) at the Putra Heights Masjid Hall today.

"Hopefully, Zurina and her family from Jengka 8 will stay strong during these trying times – especially since the incident occurred during the Aidilfitri celebrations," said Wan Rosdy.He added that the Perantau Anak Pahang secretariat was set up to ensure that the state government could reach out to Pahang-born individuals living outside the state, particularly in times of crisis."We want them to know they are not forgotten, and that the state government is here to offer support and assistance when needed," he said in a Facebook post.



The gas pipeline blast, which occurred at 8.10am on Tuesday, triggered a massive fire. Intense heat and thick dust destroyed rows of homes and more than 300 vehicles.
