Packers HC Matt LaFleur is happy about the wins, but he wants something different for the next few weeks

Kicker Brandon McManus has been with the Green Bay Packers for two weeks, and in his two games, he had game-winning field goals to convert. Good for the Packers that he made both, and the team beat the Houston Texans and the Jacksonville Jaguars, moving to 6-2 in the regular season.

Kicker Brandon McManus has been with the Green Bay Packers for two weeks, and in his two games, he had game-winning field goals to convert. Good for the Packers that he made both, and the team beat the Houston Texans and the Jacksonville Jaguars , moving to 6-2 in the regular season. But head coach Matt LaFleur doesn't want these emotional games anymore, if possible.

"To be able to win in a walk-off two weeks in a row is kinda crazy," LaFleur jokingly admitted after the game in Florida. "I don't want it to continue to happen that way, I'd like to win outright. Because it's taking years off our lives.

No, I'm just really happy for our guys." It was in fact a challenging game. At different points, quarterback Jordan Love and safety Evan Williams were ruled out with injuries, while running back Josh Jacobs and cornerback Jaire Alexander also got hurt late.

Green Bay allowed a game-tying touchdown with a little more than two minutes left, and had to march down the field to kick the game-winning field goal. The final drive included a big play from backup quarterback Malik Willis to Jayden Reed and a smart play by third-string running back Chris Brooks, who could have scored a touchdown but went down to make sure the clock would keep running. "He's a selfless guy, he does what we ask him to do," LaFleur said of Brooks.

"We told him in the situation that you're going down, the clock has gotta run. We were planning for the field goal right there. He did a good job of executing and not scoring.

He'll get his time, I'm confident in that. Chris Brooks has been a huge asset to our team, a great pickup. Gotta get Gutey and his group a ton of credit for that one, to be able to identify that guy.

" With the win over the Jaguars, the Packers moved to second place in the NFC North, surpassing the Minnesota Vikings. Next week, Green Bay plays the Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field, and a new win would make the Packers the first place in the division. Now, the big question is if Jordan Love will be available or not.
