The Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Wasilat Adegoke, announced on Monday that over 250 athletes and 58 officials from the state would participate in the 2024 National Youth Games, organised by the Federal Ministry of Sports for the under-15 athletes. The under-15 athletes were drawn from the 36 states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The commissioner made this announcement while addressing them before their departure at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, in Ibadan, the state capital.

She explained that the “Oyo Team will participate in the 8th edition of the National Youth Games, held in Asaba, Delta State. 28 sports, which include ball games, are available for the athletes.
