If your skin has been blemish-free and the night before a big event a spot decides to appear on your face - fear not, as a little-known product could help you out. When you think of Sudocrem , you likely think of nappy rash, but did you know it can actually be used as an overnight treatment mask to help calm your skin down? One skincare lover, who posts on TikTok as @your_acne_guru, asked: "Why is nobody talking about this overnight miracle mask?" But many will wonder how you're supposed to use Sudocrem, as they're more likely used to popping it on their baby's bum. Yes, it's likely to make your pillow a little messy, but it's worth it for the amazing results. "Problem solved," she gushed, and some tubs cost as little as £2.50 in some stores.

"This is great if you've overdone your acids, you've started a retinol and it's irritating, you've got acne and it's inflamed," the skincare addict shared. The main ingredient in Sudocrem is "zinc oxide", which "soothes irritation, reduces inflammation, and hydrates your skin as well". She said it's "exactly what your skin needs when it's irritated", referring to it as "an absolute lifesaver".

"Because it's not just for a****s, it's for faces too", she joked. Taking to Reddit's Skincare Addiction forum, one woman wrote: "Recently bought a tub of Sudocrem (because I’m suffering from my first ever eczema experience on my body) and I was surprised to see that on the list of uses they recommend it for acne. "I did a little search online and found that some people sleep in it as a mask so I tried it for the first time last night.

Only a thin layer, I feel like it did bring down the redness and size of my hormonal acne around my jaw but I’m not completely sold. I have loads of other skincare products that I use but I am curious if anyone else ever uses Sudocrem either to target spots or as a face mask?" Others gushed over the product, saying it's "really effective" and helps contribute to "clear skin". Others said to use it as a "targeted way on spots as it "reduces the likelihood of them getting redder or angrier".

Someone wrote: "I've been using Sudocrem on my spots for a couple of years. Even before then my mum would tell me constantly to use it to the point of annoyance. It really helps reduce redness for me.

It's just slightly annoying that she's right and has been telling me for years. Should listen to her more!".
