Overcast skies turning to a chance for steady light rain by the end of the week

A few spots may see a little drizzle today, but the main chance at rain will come throughout the day on Friday.

Today continues the stretch of rather cloudy skies across the region. Early on, you may want to keep an eye on a few chances for slick spots from light freezing drizzle, but then for much of the day we have just cloudy skies with a brief chance for light rain in the afternoon. Highs stay in the upper 30s for much of southeast Minnesota.

Tomorrow looks to bring a better chance for a steady light rain, especially once we head into the afternoon and evening. Highs will be a little bit warmer, closer to 40° with winds continuing to remain rather light. ADVERTISEMENT Then for the weekend, temperatures continue to be mild for the end of December.



Highs stay in the 40s with a brief chance for a sprinkle on Saturday before giving way to just cloudy skies for Sunday. However, we do look to wrap up the year on a cooler stretch, with temperatures returning to the 30s and 20s as we head in to 2025..
