
THE Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) seized an estimated P2.5 million worth of suspected shabu in separate drug busts in Bacolod City on Feb. 17 and 18, 2025.
The operations also led to the arrest of Kenneth Jacosalem, 31, a resident of Purok Gonzaga Ext., Barangay Taculing; Jason Alit, 30, Charles Deber, 29 and Johnrey Guion, 30, all residents of Purok Lubi, Barangay 3. BCPO records showed Jacosalem was arrested after he sold a sachet of shabu to a posuer buyer at 12:49 a.
m. Tuesday, Feb. 18.
Police recovered from Jacosalem’s possession 12 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets and two knot-tied transparent plastic bags containing suspected shabu weighing 220 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated market value of P1,496,000.00, the P1,000 marked money and other non-drug items. Alit, Deber and Guion were also arrested at Purok Lubi, Barangay 3, at 10:29 p.
m. Monday, Feb. 17.
Police recovered from the suspects’ possession 17 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets and two transparent knot-tied plastic bags containing suspected shabu weighing 150 grams with an estimated market value of P1,020,000, the P1,000 marked money and other non-drug items. Lt. Col.
Antonio Benitez Jr., head of CDEU, said Jacosalem and Alit were identified as high-value drug personalities, while Deber and Guion were also identified as street-level drug personalites in Bacolod City. He said they placed the suspects under surveillance for almost a month before conducting the operations.
The suspects are detained at the custodial facility of Police Stations 2 and 6. They will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. / MAP.
