Over 1300 Graduates Awarded Degrees During IIM Kozhikode's 27th Convocation Ceremony

The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) held its 27th Annual Convocation in a grand ceremony spanning two days. On April 4, as many as 677 students from five regular full-time programmes — Post Graduate Programme (PGP), PGP in Liberal Studies and Management (PGP-LSM), PGP in Finance (PGP-FIN), PGP in Business Leadership (PGP-BL), and the Doctoral Programme in Management (PhD), received their degrees. On April 5, a total of 641 students graduated from IIMK’s Executive Education programmes, including the Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP – Interactive Learning Mode), the EPGP Kochi Campus, and the PhD in Management – Practice Track for working professionals. The institute also awarded 38 Doctoral Degrees this year, a record for IIMK and double the number from previous years, it said.



This includes 29 PhDs from the regular full-time track and 9 PhDs from the Practice Track, IIMK’s unique doctoral programme for working professionals. IIM Kozhikode also begun admissions for the 18th batch of its flagship Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP) in Management. The two-year blended MBA programme is specifically designed for working executives.

The event featured a keynote address by Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, Director of IIM Kozhikode, and was attended by Dr. V.

Narayanan, Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Sharing his thoughts during the announcement, Prof Chatterjee said, “As we welcome the 18th cohort of the EPGP, we reaffirm our commitment to nurturing global business leaders grounded in integrity, purpose and a passion for lifelong learning. This programme, founded on rigorous academics and real-world relevance, equips professionals to lead effectively in an increasingly complex global economy.

The EPGP has empowered individuals from diverse professional and academic backgrounds to become future-ready leaders." The EPGP consists of 750 hours of instruction delivered via an Interactive Learning (IL) platform, supplemented by three intensive campus immersion modules. The curriculum includes core courses such as Accounting, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Strategy, and Human Resources, along with cutting-edge electives like International Business, Digital Transformation, and Corporate Accountability.
