Our Yorkshire Farm's Clive Owen has undergone a significant surgical procedure, his former partner Amanda Owen disclosed. In an exclusive peek at their upcoming series Our Farm Next Door, Amanda shared with ITV's Lorraine that Clive had a hip replacement and is on the mend, with the family providing support. Amanda told the cameras during the behind-the-scenes footage: "There's a lot going on here.
It's been a nightmare here. I've got children going to school, I've got children studying and children working and then he comes to me and says he's bored." "He has had a hip replacement and he's a terrible patient.
Everybody's just getting on and stuff's getting done but just not how he would like it. But most of the time we don't care." Despite their separation, Amanda and Clive have maintained a cordial relationship and are currently working together on renovating a dilapidated farmhouse for their new programme, which has faced setbacks due to adverse weather and various complications.
"This actually belongs to us whereas Ravenseat is a tenanted farm. This has an amazing history and no one has actually lived here for over 100 years," Amanda explained, while Clive noted: "There's no road to it at all." Amanda and her ex-husband Clive faced challenges due to the weather.
Speaking candidly, Amanda reflected: "It was never going to be simple. I'm not that much of a twit right? "Ask me anything about sheep and I'll tell you what I think about them. Ask me anything hill farming, no problem.
Ask me anything about home renovations, not a clue. This is all about the future. It's a big undertaking," reports Yorkshire Live.
Back in 2022, Amanda opened up about their separation with the statement: "Clive and I have are sad to confirm that we have made the difficult decision to separate." She added, "This hasn't been easy, but we both believe it's the right choice for the future of our family." Later on, Clive owned up to his part in their marital issues, citing his "anger" as the reason Amanda left.
The couple shares nine children – Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clemmie, and Nancy; some of whom are pursuing studies, building careers, and the younger ones are in school. Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV1 and ITVX.
