Oswestry dairy that has delivered milk since the 1970s goes into liquidation

Hartshorns Dairy in Oswestry entered into voluntary liquidation at the end of last year after the accumulation of severe debts.

Hartshorns Dairy has been delivering milk to homes and businesses in the area since the 1977 but ceased trading at the end of last week. This comes after the company entered into voluntary liquidation at the end of last year. In a post online a spokesperson for Hartshorns Dairy said: “It is with great sadness and regret that I have to inform everyone that we be closing on Sunday March 30.

“We would like to thank all our customers for all their support and custom.” Documents available on Companies House reveal that when the company went into voluntary liquidation in November, it had just £8 in its accounts. The documents reveal that at the same time the dairy had outstanding liabilities of £236,485.



These outstanding debts listed by the company included £70,370 owed to employees in claims, which may include wages.
