Osun State Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Tosin Odeyemi, on Thursday tackled the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, over his party’s plan to take over Kano during the next governorship poll. Describing the plan as a pipe dream, he said the development shows the disconnection of Ganduje from the masses, who, he stated, were behind the Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Yusuf.

Reacting to the reported statement credited to the APC National Chairman, who described NNPP as a dying party in Kano, Odeyemi, in a statement, said it was imperative for Ganduje to wake up from his tall dream of taking over the state. The statement read, “Realities on the ground in Kano State presently go beyond what the former governor can just rubbish. “I laughed when I saw that statement.

Though age is not on Baba Ganduje’s side, I won’t blame him much but just let him know that Kano State has evolved. “Otherwise, how could somebody who is living far from his state be boasting that many of NNPP’s bigwigs are set to dump the Kano ruling party for the APC just because he supervised the distribution of 63 vehicles and 1,137 motorcycles to APC local government and ward chairmen in the state? “The masses in Kano State are with our performing Governor, Abba Yusuf, who is doing everything humanly possible to make life better for them in all ramifications. “Let Ganduje organize a street rally in Kano State and see who will follow him.

Our party has transformed the state; we have shown them how to serve people and not feed fat on their collective wealth. “The APC Chairman should stop listening to parlour feedback from his aides, who are deceiving him that his party can still take over Kano State.”.
