Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel Made College Football History on Saturday

Dillon Gabriel and the Oregon Ducks hosted the Maryland Terrapins in Week 11, looking to add to their 9-0 record. The Ducks headed into the matchup as a 23.5-point favorite, per ESPN BET .

They've been dominating their opponents all season, behind an explosive offense that's averaged 35.6 points and 467.4 yards per game.



Gabriel, who's playing in his first season with the Ducks after transferring from Oklahoma, has been one of the best quarterbacks in college football all season. The seasoned veteran has led the Ducks to the No. 1 ranking in college football and on their route to the top of the pedestal, Gabriel made history.

In the Week 11 matchup against the Terrapins, Gabriel became the NCAA's all-time leader for total touchdowns. The official X account for the Oregon Ducks football program posted that Gabriel earned the all-time record after throwing his 179th touchdown during the Week 11 game. He started his career with the UCF Knights in 2019 and played for the program in Central Florida until the 2021 season. During his time with the Knights, Gabriel posted a combined 70 touchdowns and 8,037 yards He then transferred to play for the Oklahoma Sooners, where he recorded 55 touchdowns and 6,828 yards in two seasons with the program (2022 and 2023). During his sole season with the program, Gabriel has posted 19 touchdowns and 2,665 yards.

The Houston Cougars star previously held the all-time touchdown record with 155 touchdowns during his five-year college career.
