The Beatrice boys cross country team finished fourth in Class B at the NSAA State Cross Country Meet in Kearney on Friday. The Orangemen finished with a team score of 92, which put them behind Lincoln Pius X (38), Hastings (66) and Omaha Skutt (79). Beatrice had two runners earn medals.
Josiah Quinones finished eighth individually with a time of 16:06.1 while Lucas Frazier finished 11th with a time of 16:22.9.
Both Quinones and Frazier are seniors. James Given finished 46th for the Orangemen while Charles Scott finished 48th, Nicholas Boon finished 54th, Ethan Cerveny finished 81st and Tobias Kidder finished 86th. Gretna East's Braden Lofquest was the individual champion in Class B with a time of 15:14.

Norris finished with a team score of 32, which put them behind Elkhorn North's team score of 26. Those two teams were far ahead of the rest as Pius finished third with a team score of 74.
Zavala finished with a time of 18:23.9, which was 10 seconds faster than Elkhorn North's Leah Robinson, who finished runner-up with a time of 18:33.1.
Norris' Atlee Wallman finished third with a time of 18:40.7. Kennedy Powell finished 14th for the Lady Titans with a time of 19:38.

In the Class C girls race, Johnson County Central's Madison VanLaningham finished 25th. Freeman boys finish fifth, Tri County boys 6th The Freeman boys cross country team finished fifth in the Class D boys standings.
The Falcons' team score of 59 put them behind Perkins County (28), North Platte St. Patricks (28), Nebraska Christian (46) and Cornerstone Christian (47). Senior Jobjosiah Muthiani was the top finisher for the Falcons with a seventh place time of 17:04.
9. Emmanuel Muthiani finished 23rd for Freeman while Brady Troxel finished 47th, Beau Miller finished 99th and Luke Van Cott finished 105th. The Tri County boys finished just behind Freeman in the boys team standings in Class D.
Sophomore Samuel Holsing was the top finisher for Tri County with a ninth place time of 17:11.
