A luxury hotel chain with celebrity guests has confirmed when it will open up in Newcastle city centre

It's a chain that has welcomed A-list guests like Robbie Williams, Jennifer Hudson and Simon Cowell and Hotel Gotham has now confirmed that it will open its doors in Newcastle this summer. Plans for the world renowned brand to expand to Newcastle city centre were first revealed back in 2023 , when it was confirmed that its owners wanted to take over the former Fire Station building on Pilgrim Street, having seen its Manchester hotel being named one of the 'most opulent' in Europe. The hotel, being described as a 'spectacular destination with theatrical flair' will also include a restaurant and bar open to both hotel guests and non-residents seven days a week, as well as a private bar for members, VIPs, and hotel guests.

More detail has been given about the bar inside Hotel Gotham Newcastle in recent months, with it being called Fire, in a nod to the premise's past and it looking set to be a great new addition to what looks set to be a thriving Pilgrim Street. Home to the massive new HMRC building, Pilgrim Street will be a stone's throw away from the new and 'biggest ever' Stack in Newcastle, which is preparing to open later in the year, while Pilgrim, the venue formerly known as Hoochie Coochie, prepares to welcome big names like Macy Gray. If you follow the Hotel Gotham Newcastle account on Instagram, you will have seen some very cryptic and rather mysterious teasers, with the biggest bit of news to date, coming by way of the reveal that the Tyneside hotel will open this summer, in a post which read: 'Black tie swagger and champagne daggers.

Shimmy, sway and swindle the night away. Hotel Gotham Newcastle. Open Summer 2025.

' News of when Hotel Gotham will open in Newcastle came after another post which teased what to expect, with the caption: 'Hotel Gotham Newcastle is ready to impress. Unpredictable and set to make a statement.' ChronicleLive is now on WhatsApp and we want you to join our communities.
