Chinese smartphone maker OPPO has announced the launch of its much-awaited flagship, the OPPO Find X8 Series, in India. Both the Find X8 and the Find X8 Pro are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset. The OPPO Find X8 features a 6.
59-inch AMOLED Infinite View Display with a 120Hz dynamic refresh rate whereas the OPPO Find X8 Pro has a 6.78-inch display with the same specifications. Both devices also offer 4,500 nits of peak brightness.
The smartphones are also rated IP68 and IP69 for water and dust resistance. “The IP68 certification authenticates that the devices are protected against dust, and immersion in up to 1.5m of water for 30 minutes, while the IP69 rating is a testament to their resistance to high-pressure water jets at up to 80°C,” OPPO said.
For photography, the Find X8 series offers users a quad camera setup with all lenses — wide, ultrawide and telephoto — being 50MP. The Pro model has an LYT808 primary sensor, a LYT600 3x telephoto sensor, an IMX858 6x periscope telephoto sensor and an ultrawide camera. The 6x optical zoom, however, is missing, in the smaller Find X8 model.
OPPO claims that the Lightning Snap feature on the Find X8 allows users to take up to 200 continuous photos in 30 seconds without delay. The front camera on both is a 32MP shooter. The Find X8 Pro packs a 5,910mAh battery, while the standard model features a 5,630mAh unit.
With 80W SUPERVOOC charging, the Find X8 Pro is said to fully charge in 55 minutes, and the Find X8 in 58 minutes. Additionally, OPPO’s 50W AIRVOOC offers wireless charging, claiming to achieve a full charge in 90 minutes. “With the Find X8 Series, OPPO has redefined what smartphones can achieve.
The Find X8 and Find X8 Pro blend elegance with cutting-edge engineering to deliver ultra-grade cameras for professional-level photography, ultra-long-lasting battery life for uninterrupted use, and ultra-powerful performance to handle the most demanding tasks with ease,” said Pete Lau, SVP and Chief Product Officer, OPPO. Out of the box, the devices will run on Android 15-based ColorOS 15, which uses AI to keep everything running smoothly and offers plenty of ways to customise your phone. Tools like the AI Assistant help with quick note-taking, fixing grammar, and adjusting tone.
The AI Photo Remaster feature lets you enhance photos effortlessly by sharpening images or removing reflections.
