After debuting in China , the Oppo Find X8 series is launching globally and it’s a pretty compelling offer. The Oppo Find X8 series builds on the company’s camera-focused flagship lineup. It’s the first global release the series has seen since 2022’s Find X5 , and a pretty big step up.

Both the Oppo Find X8 and Find X8 Pro are powered by MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 9400 chipset alongside a flagship package of specs that are remarkably similar. Both devices have a trio of 50MP camera sensors, with the Find X8 Pro getting a slightly better main sensor and a second telephoto lens as well – one at 3x and the other at 6x. Oppo touts “Lightning Snap” and improved Zero Shutter Lag as significant boosts to the camera quality when it comes to motion.

The Find X8 Pro also adds a “Quick Button,” a touch-sensitive area along the side of the device that can be used to open the camera with a double-tap and then it can be used as a shutter button. It’s not a physical button, though, using haptics to simulate the feel. It can also control zoom with a swipe (which only works in landscape mode).

Oppo is also touting new “Film” modes for the camera, “Soft Lighting” portraits, 4K Dolby Vision video recording from every camera sensor, and improved “Livephoto” that better matches the video quality of a motion photo to the image itself. The Find X8 Pro has a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display at 2780×1264 with peak HDR brightness hitting 4500 nits.

The Find X8 isn’t too far off, with a slightly smaller 6.59-inch AMOLED display at 2760×1256 and the same brightness. The smaller model also has a fully flat display as opposed to the Pro’s slightly curved edges and has a higher PWM rate of 3840Hz compared to the Pro’s 2160Hz (due to LTPO).

Both are 120Hz displays. Alongside the MediaTek 9400 under the hood you’ll find 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage on the Pro, or start at 12GB/256GB on the standard Find X8. The Pro has a 5,910 mAh battery while the smaller model is at 5,630 mAh, and both are equipped with 80W wired charging/50W wireless.

Pricing for the Find X8 series wasn’t disclosed prior to the launch event, but we’ll update this article as soon as it’s available. Oppo won’t be selling these devices in the United States, but you can expect to see them available in the UK, EU, and other regions around the globe.
