Mohmand - To eliminate illegal poppy cultivation in the tribal belt, an effective operation is underway across the district on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Yasir Hassan. The operation is being successfully carried out under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Lower Mohmand Awais Khan, led by Tehsildar Ambar Abdul Rehman in collaboration with local police. So far, 27 kanals of poppy crop have been destroyed in Tehsil Prang Ghar, 55 kanals in Ambar, and 71 kanals in Pindialai.

In total, poppy crops cultivated on 153 kanals of land have been completely eradicated. DSP Ambar Pasham Gul, SHO Sher Zameen, revenue staff, and police personnel are actively participating in the operation. Tribal elders from all four tehsils have also extended their full support and cooperation to the campaign.
