Qatar tribune Tribune News Network Doha The Ooredoo Group successfully wrapped up its first-ever Digital Ecosystem Conference on Wednesday, at the Ritz-Carlton, Doha. Bringing together more than 300 delegates from around the world, the conference was buzzing with insightful discussions on the future of telecommunications, consumer protection, cybersecurity, and the policy and regulatory challenges posed by emerging technologies. Artificial intelligence and machine learning were hot topics, with sessions exploring their practical applications in business, from predictive analytics to enhancing customer experiences.

Cybersecurity also took center stage, with experts emphasising the need for robust measures to protect sensitive data and ensure business continuity. The rollout of 5G technology sparked in-depth discussions about current developments in the region and its impact on connectivity and communication. The event opened with a welcome address by Hilal Al Khulaifi, Ooredoo Group’s Chief Legal, Regulatory and Corporate Governance Officer, followed by keynote addresses by Minister of Communications and Information Technology HE Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai,and Aziz Aluthman Fakhroo, Ooredoo Group’s CEO. During the conference, Ooredoo Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Qatar Insurance Company (QIC). This partnership will focus on implementing cutting-edge insurance solutions within the commercial insurance space, further showcasing the conference’s impact on fostering collaborations that drive innovation.
