To mark the arrival of December, we have just the brainteaser for you. We all know how important it is to keep our brains as healthy as the rest of our bodies, but let's face it - most of us might start to let our hair down as the countdown to Christmas is well and truly on. Although there's weeks left until the big day and New Year celebrations are still far off, people might start unwinding with all the festivities right around the corner.

Now this brainteaser promises to be a real challenge, although if you've got cats that like to hide around your home, you might be able to solve it in seconds. Take a look at the Reddit post above. You'll see a cosy Christmas scene taken from someone's living room, which shows a beautifully lit tree next to a cat tower.

There's not much else in the photo aside from some shelves at the very back and what seems to be part of a table to one side. Somewhere in the photo, however, is a total of three cats. And the brainteaser requires you to find all three of these moggies as quickly as you can to keep your juices flowing.

The more you practice at puzzles like this one, the stronger your brain will become over time, making these brainteasers easier to solve. With this particular puzzle, you might find that two of the cats are easy to spot. We won't even try and make it seem tricky - they're lounging on their cat tree and aren't trying to hide.

One can be found just above the ground level, while the other is directly above the first one. It's the third cat that's the real tricky kitty to find - can you spot it? Answer The final cat is actually nestled inside the Christmas tree. If you look closely at the tinsel and the lights, you might be able to see a grey tail dangling down toward the centre of the tree.

Follow that tail up, and you'll eventually spot a small grey kitty head poking out from between some branches. Commenters on the Reddit post thanked the poster for their "fun" brainteaser, while some said it had taken them a while to work out where the third cat was hiding. One person said: "Having cats, I knew one had to be in the tree, but it took a while for me to see it.

" And another added: "Oh, my gosh! That face from the tree. What an adorable, naughty baby." Do you have a story to share? Get in touch at yourmirror@trinitymirror.
