The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) on Monday reminded drivers and operators traveling this Holy Week that only “G” (General Patronage) and “PG” (Parental Guidance) rated content is allowed in public utility vehicles. Under MTRCB Memorandum Circular No. 03-2024, the films shown on PUVs must be appropriate for all audiences, particularly children, as it classifies common carriers as “movie theaters” for regulatory purposes.
“Our commitment is to ensure that the content shown in PUVs is safe for all passengers, particularly children traveling with their families,” said MTRCB chairperson Lala Sotto-Antonio in a statement. The MTCRB urged passengers to report violators through its official Facebook pages or email at [email protected].
