Only Fools and Horses legend Sir David Jason was horrified when his BBC co-star stormed off set and told him to "do one".

Sir David Jason was left gobsmacked when his BBC co-star suddenly stormed off set mid-show. The iconic actor was on a nationwide tour with Jay Blades last year for David and Jay's Touring Toolshed, but tensions flared up on set. In a recent episode of their new show, Jay Blades found himself under scrutiny after joining a barrel-making workshop.

Only Fools and Horses legend Sir David didn't hesitate to poke fun at Jay's efforts, remarking, "Just remember we haven't got three days for this programme," which prompted Jay to retort: "No, it's not gonna fall in! Listen, less of the verbal over there, alright?" Yet, Sir David continued to tease, "You should've been way down with your rings on the barrel by this time." An expert barrel-maker later came to assist The Repair Shop star Jay Blades, leading to another jibe from Sir David: "Oh, you're having help from the professional..

." When Jay completed his "wobbly" barrel, which Sir David challenged him to lift, the atmosphere intensified. Jay snapped back, "I'll tell you where I'll put my thumb in a minute if you don't stop talking," as Sir David had suggested using his thumb for stability.

Despite his hard work, Jay's barrel only scored a four out of ten, leaving him visibly disheartened, reports the Mirror . After tossing his apron aside in frustration, he exclaimed: "The two of you can do one, I've had enough. I've had enough," and stormed off the set.

However, what he didn't realise was that Sir David Jason had quietly praised him to the barrel expert, saying, "To be honest, he didn't do too bad, did he?" The programme, which boasts another 14 episodes in its current series, quickly captured the hearts of viewers Fans flocked to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, to express their delight with the show. One fan gushed: "Fantastic to see Sir David Jason and @jayblades_ show. Love the sandwich scene! The show has so much warmth and is a smooth 30 mins of pure TV.

Anything with Sir David staring in is a must-watch! Fantastic to see David using some of his Del Boy skills throughout! #TouringToolshed.." Another viewer was quick to suggest: "David Jason back on the box.

Whoever thought of this should be knighted pronto. #davidandjaystouringtoolshed." Meanwhile, another shared: "Just watched the first episode of #davidandjaystouringtoolshed, and I loved it.

It looked like Jay and Sir David had fun making it. Well done, @BBCTwo and @jayblades_, and everyone involved bringing us this beautiful TV show. Just what you need on dull January evening.
