Gwyneth Strong, best known for her role as Casandra Trotter in the iconic BBC One sitcom Only Fools and Horses, which aired from 1981 to 2023, has also made a name for herself in EastEnders . She played a character who clashed with pub landlady Linda Carter (played by Kellie Bright) and Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth). The actress first appeared on Only Fools in 1989, playing the smart, level-headed, and 'yuppie' love interest of Rodney Trotter (Nicholas Lyndhurst), a shady dealer.

Despite their contrasting backgrounds, the couple met at night school and their relationship endured. In the episode titled Little Problems, Cassandra and Rodney tied the knot, making her Del Boy's ( David Jason ) beleaguered sister-in-law. However, she was very much a daddy's girl, having been pampered by her father, Alan Parry (Denis Lill), which added a touch of class to the Trotters, who resided in a Peckham high-rise and peddled dodgy merchandise.

Rodney and Cassandra later had a baby daughter named Joan, as revealed in the final episode of the BBC sitcom that aired in 2003. Since leaving the BBC sitcom, Gwyneth has amassed an impressive list of television credits throughout her acting career, including roles in Casualty, Midsomer Murders, New Tricks, Doctors, and many more, reports MyLondon . In September 2016, the celeb nabbed a role on BBC One's EastEnders, arriving in Albert Square as Geraldine Clough, the feisty leader of a women's darts team from The Feathers pub.

Her character ruffled feathers after describing The Queen Vic as "tacky" and then strutting into the boozer for a heated round of darts. The visit turned sour when she was caught cheating in a darts competition against Linda Carter (played by Kellie Bright) and her crew, leading to her swift exit. However, Geraldine wasn't gone for long, returning to Walford within two months for a dramatic face-off.

This time, tasked with organizing the Walford Players Christmas Show, Geraldine got into a fracas, resulting in her booting Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) out on her ear, showcasing a grittier side contrary to the comedic roles she's known for. Geraldine became a regular fixture in Walford for a brief spell until her last appearance on November 29, 2016. Gwyneth recently graced the stage as Mrs Boyle in the historic 70th-anniversary production of Agatha Christie's play The Mousetrap.
