Only 500 overseas students for regional unis will live outside CBDs

Regional universities have been told they must fix their enrolment practices and will face separate regional and metro quotas for 2026.

Login Regional universities have been put on notice that they must stop enrolling most of their overseas students on metropolitan campuses and bring many more to their country headquarters. While regional universities were the big winners in last week’s allocation of caps for overseas students for 2025 , they have been told they must fix their enrolment practices and will face separate regional and metro quotas for 2026.
