The company also clarified that software updates are not responsible for the motherboard failures observed in OnePlus devices.

In a discussion with FoneArea, OnePlus acknowledged the challenges faced by several of its models, particularly the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 8 series. The green line issue is not unique to OnePlus but is recognized as a broader industry challenge, according to the company. OnePlus has collaborated with its suppliers to implement corrective actions throughout its supply chain.

The company remains committed to consumer satisfaction and encourages customers experiencing green line issues to visit their nearest OnePlus service centers promptly for complimentary device diagnostics. Customers will be offered options to either upgrade their devices or replace the screen. OnePlus claims to be the first brand in the industry to provide a lifetime display warranty.

Owners of select OnePlus 8 and 9 series devices can upgrade to a new OnePlus smartphone at designated authorized service centers, even if their devices are over a year old and out of warranty. See, a normal middle class person has to use the phone like this with the green line, they buys the phone with great difficulty by adding money and these mobile companies do not even listen when in most of the cases the fault lies with the mobile companies. What a sad thing.
