[+] for home recording thanks to their low latency wireless performance. OneOdio is a brand best known for great-value budget headphones but now the company is launching a brand-new pair of high-end DJ wireless headphones with a separate wireless transmitter for real hi-res audio without wires. The new Studio Max 1 Hi-Res Audio DJ wireless headphones offer a range of connectivity options and have been designed with DJs and music enthusiasts in mind.

The headphones have dual Hi-Res audio certification and support both the high-end Bluetooth LDAC codec and Rapid WiLL+ wireless technology for ultra-low latency. Compared to Bluetooth technology, Rapid WiLL+ offers an impressively fast latency of 20ms, making it ideal for DJ use. The wireless protocol also has hi-res sound with minimal delay for audio manipulation during live sets.

In comparison, Bluetooth wireless transmission can have a latency ranging from 250ms to 50ms, depending on the codec used. Rapid WiLL+ provides a latency that’s even lower than Qualcomm’s aptX family of audio codecs. Rapid WiLL+ Low Latency The Rapid WiLL+ technology is also a great way of recording music using wireless headphones.

Because of the ultra-low latency, it’s possible to feedback tracks to the headphones without wires. Normally, that kind of performance is only possible in a studio if you use wired headphones. The new OneOdio Studio Max 1 Hi-Res Audio DJ wireless headphones come with the M1 Transmitter which .

Where To Watch On TV And Stream Each of the earcups of the Studio Max 1 houses a 50mm diaphragm driver which can serve up a wide frequency response of 20Hz – 40kHz, serving up an impressively deep bass and clear treble. The addition of dual microphone noise reduction enhances clarity when making voice calls or on video conferences. These new headphones have four ways of connecting for maximum flexibility including ingenious wired modes.

The headphones have 3.5mm and 6.35mm inputs so with a single cable you can listen to devices with both sizes of jack plugs simply by reversing the cable.

Four Different Listening Modes There are four listening modes: DJ Wireless Mode uses the separate M1 wireless transmitter for hi-res audio with low latency while still allowing freedom of movement. The second is Monitoring Mode which uses a traditional 3.5mm cable connection while DJ Wired Mode can accept a 6.

35mm jack for connecting to mixing desks and DJ consoles. Finally, there is the Portable Bluetooth Mode which uses regular wireless Bluetooth connectivity for on-the-go use. The range of adjustment will suit all sized of heads and the ear cushions are both plump and soft, making them comfortable for long-term listening or lengthy DJ sets. [+] Arianna, one of Italy’s top five DJs. Now we move on to the most important aspect: sound quality. I wasn’t expecting a lot from the OneOdio Studio Max 1.

I’m not familiar with the brand but it’s not a name that chimes with high-quality audio but I am happy to say that these headphones sound great. The Studio Mac 1 can certainly hold their own with brands costing twice as much. The bass is assured and confident, while the upper frequencies are superbly clear thanks to those large 50mm dynamic drivers.

The mids are great too and sufficiently forward to make vocals sound engaging while the base and treble never smear or overpower the mids. Verdict: These OneOdio Studio Max 1 are a surprisingly great-sounding pair of budget wireless headphones with a lot of flexibility. Whether you use them for DJing, commuting or home listening, they offer the option of Bluetooth, wired use and hi-res low-latency performance using the M1 transmitter with both analog and digital sources.

For the money, the OneOdio Studio Max 1 offer great sound and incredible value for money. I’d rate them as highly as the excellent Audio Technica M50x BT2 which cost more but have a lower battery life and don’t come with the Rapid Will+ transmitter. Give these innovative headphones an audition because they offer a lot of bang for your buck.
