One of the UK's best Christmas markets is nestled within a stunning city less than an hour away from London - boasting an ice skating rink, alpine lodge and big wheel. With Christmas only a matter of weeks away, there's no better time to start planning your festive fun whether its from finding new food spots to exciting activities. And according to voucher site Hotel Gif , there's one city in particular to add to your destination list this year.
The website revealed the best places to visit this winter and placed Cambridge Christmas Market on the list. According to the experience site, the event offers "charming stalls" , an array of food and huge rides. Hotel Gift also highlighted that it is based in a place which has magnificent history.
The market is located within a green space called Parker's Piece and is running between November 14 to January 5. Hotel Gift said: "When it comes to experiencing the best Christmas markets in the UK, there's nothing quite like the enchanting allure of these festive havens . From the aromatic embrace of mulled wine to the twinkle of Christmas lights, this list of the best Christmas markets in the UK is the ultimate gateway to unrivalled Christmas cheer.
" Highlighting Cambridge as one of the top 14 places, they added: "With its stunning backdrop of the historic city, Cambridge's Christmas Market is a delight for all ages and is open daily until Christmas Eve. Browse the charming stalls in the Alpine Village offering a variety of handcrafted gifts, festive decorations , and delicious food and drink (make sure to try the Yorkshire Pudding Wrap). "Afterwards, take a ride on the Festive Ferris Wheel or the vintage Carousel, explore the Christmas Tree maze, and get your skates on at the Cambridge Christmas Market Ice Rink.

On a website called Christmas in Cambridge , the event is advertised as free and is expected to be the "best one yet". The market will open between 11am to 11pm.
