One man dead after shooting in South Memphis, MPD says

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - One man has died after a shooting in a South Memphis neighborhood Sunday evening. At 8:00 Sunday night, MPD said, officers were sent to a shooting in the 1200 block of Willie Mitchell Boulevard.

Police said they found a man there with serious injuries; he was taken to Regional One, but died at the hospital. Memphis Police initially said property in the area was hit by the gunfire, but no one was injured. MPD said they did not yet have any suspects in the shooting, and are asking anyone with information to call CrimeStoppers at 901-528-CASH.
