Oleksandr Usyk had his eyes fixed on Tyson Fury while sat at the front of a plane as the pair crossed paths. Usyk and Fury have now landed in Riyadh and are set to go through the final fight week festivities before locking horns in an intriguing heavyweight rematch on Saturday night. The pair have already been face-to-face several times since their rivalry began, including in the ring where Usyk defeated the 'Gypsy King' back in May.
But in perhaps their most mind-blowing of exchanges, the pair arrived to the backdrop of a huge aeroplane at the traditional 'Grand Arrivals' in Riyadh. It was the pilot's seat that caught the medias attention, as Usyk sat in the cockpit of the plane. And as Fury was led by a huge entourage of his team while walking down the red carpet, 'The Cat' watched with intent from above.
He stared out of the front window in simply incredible images, hardly moving his head as he followed his rival down the path with a stern gaze. Usyk even managed to go undetected by Fury, who couldn't see the Ukrainian who watched him like a hawk from above. It isn't the first time the champion has used a stare in mind games with the Briton.
He famously stared at his rival who looked out towards stage during a viral press conference moment before their maiden clash. Usyk is clearly once again confident and has shown no signs of being intimidated again so far this week. And he has used verbal jabs to continue mind games already, insisting he has a secret plan with new tactics to step in and try to conquer Fury again.
He said: “My fans can expect something similar again, but we may switch a few things up a little bit. "My team and I have a few secrets for Saturday. “This is a big opportunity for me, for my country, and for the young people that look up to me and Tyson.
"This is history! I want people 15 years later to remember when I fought and beat Tyson Fury twice in Riyadh. "I have done not just something, I have done a lot. My team, we had a discussion.
We found the disadvantages and we worked on them. "I have no idea whether I improve myself but I did the hard work. On December 21 we are going to see the results.
" "I have found it [perfection]. I have found it everywhere. It’s complicated to look for the order.
"You have to keep yourself focused because you can always build up and down in your life and stay focused. I have found my balance. I have found my perfection.
" Usyk is the marginal favourite to beat Fury given his performance earlier this year, but it will be a stern examination. The 'Gypsy King' is set to pile on weight and take a new tactical approach to the fight. Both fighters are in fantastic shape and look big at their weights , a sign it could well be a war of attrition.
