40 YEARS AGO: 1984 The Warren Central Vikings boys’ basketball team edged Clinton 47-45 in the second round of the WC Classic, setting off a celebration. 30 YEARS AGO: 1994 Bessie Durman, a resident at Vicksburg Convalescent Home, celebrated her 102nd birthday. 20 YEARS AGO: 2004 A reprimand, instead of a suspension, went into the record of a police supervisor city officials said showed favoritism to an officer they later fired.
