An old church has collapsed in a fire that spread to multiple buildings on the North Shore Friday night. Firefighters responded to a 911 call on Estes Street in Lynn, finding at least two buildings burning when they arrived. Windy conditions made fighting the fire harder, and cold temperatures contributed to issues getting water to the area.

Firefighters struck five alarms, calling in help from surrounding communities. The fire chief reported six people displaced, but no one was hurt. The entire block of Estes Street was evacuated.

Firefighters were still investigating where and how the fire started as of Friday night..
