It's actually the college basketball journey of Meechie Johnson Jr. Johnson announced Tuesday that he'll spend his final college basketball season playing for the Gamecocks, who he already played for before.

The star guard from Garfield Heights in the Cleveland area committed to Ohio State in high school. He played his first two seasons there. Johnson transferred to South Carolina for the 2022-23 season and stayed there for two years.

4 points per game across his two seasons with the Gamecocks, his best two seasons in college in most statistical categories. The dynamic guard is a big pickup for South Carolina as it hopes to contend in the dominant SEC. Meanwhile, Ohio State is left wondering what it did to lose the same player to the same school twice.
