Ohio State rallied from a 16-point deficit to beat No. 11 Purdue 73-70 and end the Boilermakers’ 26-game Mackey Arena winning streak Tuesday night. After winning seven straight Big Ten contests, the Boilermakers (15-5, 7-2 Big Ten) entered the night just a half-game behind league leader Michigan State (16-2, 7-0 Big Ten).
With the loss, Purdue falls into a virtual second-place tie with Michigan (14-4, 6-1). The Boilermakers and Wolverines face off Friday at Mackey Arena with the loser tumbling perhaps three games behind the Spartans, who play at Rutgers on Saturday. Ohio State gets a big win on the road over No.

Purdue seemingly was in control with a 41-25 lead late in the first half when the Buckeyes (11-8, 3-5) put together a 20-2 run to take a 45-43 lead. Eventually Ohio State built a nine-point lead late in the second half and held on at the free-throw line.
