AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, has "no structural issues with the venue or its retractable roof" despite two pieces of metal falling from the roof prior to the team's 34-10 loss to the Houston Texans on Monday evening, per officials to TMZ Sports . "Officials tell TMZ Sports they've found nothing wrong with AT&T Stadium's structure despite Monday night's metal-falling incident. "A spokesperson for the City of Arlington told us Tuesday the city's building inspector and deputy fire marshal have deemed Jerry World safe .

.. less than 24 hours after people on AT&T Stadium's field were nearly hit by debris that came crashing down from the facility's ceiling just before the Cowboys vs.

Texans kickoff." Arlington city officials added more specifics to TMZ Sports: "The metal piece that fell to the field was a covering lid to a cable tray that was moved by wind gusts as the roof was opening," the city stated. "The cable tray was in the high steel area near the top of the stadium.

" In addition, TMZ Sports relayed that "the lid coverings have been reviewed and have been secured further ...

and it doesn't seem any other problems are on the horizon." ESPN's Lisa Salters notably provided a mid-game report on the matter. The pieces fell as the team was opening the roof for the first time since October 2022.

"We can confirm a piece of metal came loose and fell to the field (with some additional small debris) while the roof was in the process of opening," a Cowboys spokesperson stated . "There were no injuries. It is being reviewed further, and a decision regarding the ability to re-open the roof safely will be made when possible.

" The roof was closed after the incident took place. It's been a disastrous season in Dallas, with the team falling to 3-7 and no hope in sight for 2024. Quarterback Dak Prescott is out for the year with a hamstring injury, and head coach Mike McCarthy appears to be a lame duck as he goes through the final season of a five-year deal.

The Cowboys have also given up the second-most points per game in football. There's also seemingly been off-field storylines since the offseason, with the stadium taking centerstage of late. Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb noted his desire for curtains to block the sun glare after he lost a potential touchdown catch in the sunlight during a 34-6 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Nov.

10. Owner Jerry Jones doesn't approve. "Well, let's just tear the damn stadium down and build another one? You kidding me?" he responded regarding the idea of curtains, per ESPN's Todd Archer .

Dallas briefly moves away from home this weekend when the team visits the Washington Commanders before heading back to Texas for the annual Thanksgiving Day game, this time against the New York Giants..
