NYT ‘Strands’ Today: Hints, Spangram And Answers For Tuesday, November 12th

Today's NYT Strands hints and answers Looking for Monday’s Strands hints, spangram and answers? You can find them here: The nice three-day weekend is over and done with and I hope all of you fine Strandistarians had a lovely extra day off to spend with friends and family, or just to play video games or go out into nature. We have another Strands grid to solve now that we’re back to the daily grind, and this one is a bit tricky! Strands is the newest game in the New York Times’ stable of puzzle games. It’s a fun twist on classic word search games.

Every day we’re given a new theme and then tasked with uncovering all the words on the grid that fit that theme, including a spangram that spans two sides of the board. One of these words is the spangram which crosses from one side of the grid to another and reveals even more about the day’s theme. Spoilers ahead.

Today’s spangram is: NATOALPHABET Here’s the full list of words: Here’s the completed Strands grid: Today's Strands Today’s Strands Breakdown This one really stumped me, even after I opted for a hint or two. For some reason, the theme and the first couple words—ECHO and GOLF—didn’t make me think of the NATOALPHABET (today’s spangram). But when I got BRAVO and then TANGO I was finally in the know.

I tried ALPHA and when that came back grey, I tried ALPHABET. Still a no-go, I filled in all the other words: FOXTROT, DELTA, VICTOR. I was able to finally spot the NATO in front of ALPHABET.
