Mini Crossword The NYT Mini is a quick and dirty version of the newspaper's larger and long-running crossword. Most days, there are between three and five clues in each direction on a five by five grid, but the puzzles are sometimes larger, especially on Saturdays. Unlike its larger sibling, the NYT Mini crossword is free to play on the New York Times website or NYT Games app.
However, you’ll need an NYT Games subscription to access previous puzzles in the archives. The NYT Mini is a fun daily distraction that usually takes no time at all. I try to beat the standard weekday grid in less than a minute.
But sometimes I can't quite figure out one or two clues and need to reveal the answer. To help you avoid doing that, here are the NYT Mini Crossword answers ( spoilers lie ahead, of course ): 1) Word after "cheap as" or “old as” - DIRT 5) Sean ___, director who won four Oscars for "Anora" - BAKER 6) "It’s the Hard-Knock Life" musical - ANNIE 7) Pastry at a tea shop - SCONE 8) Works on a quilt, perhaps - SEWS FEATURED | Frase By Forbes TM Unscramble The Anagram To Reveal The Phrase Pinpoint By Linkedin Guess The Category Queens By Linkedin Crown Each Region Crossclimb By Linkedin Unlock A Trivia Ladder 1) "Never give a sword to a man who can’t ___": Confucius - DANCE 2) "You don’t need to tell me!" - IKNOW 3) Straps for a horseback rider - REINS 4) One might be shady - TREE 5) Big Mouth Billy ___ (singing animatronic fish) - BASS Mini This one was a 50 second speed run for me, so no ultra challenges here from what I find. Took me a minute to remember Sean Baker’s name, but I got there.
I really like that Conficius quote that I had never heard before, and I’ll be sure to remember that. Maybe if you’re too young you do not know what a Big Mouth Bill Bass is, but I will never forget, unfortunately. Follow me on Twitter , YouTube , Bluesky and Instagram .
