Mini Crossword NYT The NYT Mini is a quick and dirty version of the newspaper's larger and long-running crossword. Most days, there are between three and five clues in each direction on a five by five grid, but the puzzles are sometimes larger, especially on Saturdays. Unlike its larger sibling, the NYT Mini crossword is free to play on the New York Times website or NYT Games app.
However, you’ll need an NYT Games subscription to access previous puzzles in the archives. The NYT Mini is a fun daily distraction that usually takes no time at all. I try to beat the standard weekday grid in less than a minute.
But sometimes I can't quite figure out one or two clues and need to reveal the answer. To help you avoid doing that, here are the NYT Mini Crossword answers ( spoilers lie ahead, of course ): 1) Bad things to see tumbling down a mountain on their own - SKIS 5) When repeated, “If ya know what I mean ..
.” WINK 6) When repeated, "If ya know what I mean ..
." NUDGE 7) Provide funding for - ENDOW 8) Quartet of awards won by Whoopi Goldberg, for short - EGOT 1) Successfully pulled off, as a deal - SWUNG 2) Li’l tyke - KIDDO 3) Gold brick - INGOT 4) Distort, as data - SKEW 6) French word before a maiden name - NEE Mini NYT I don’t even know where to start with this one today. This was *really* difficult compared to a normal one, if you ask me, with a whole bunch of clues I still barely even understand now.
The entire “wink and a nudge” clueset was nonsense and I don’t know what anyone was supposed to take away from that. And skis tumbling down a mountain is a good joke but impossible to guess as a clue. Very hard stuff toda! Follow me on Twitter , YouTube , Bluesky and Instagram .
Pick up my sci-fi novels the Herokiller series and The Earthborn Trilogy ..
